Planet Ark Partnership

Proudly in partnership with Cartridges 4 Planet Ark

Our partnership with Cartridges 4 Planet Ark assists our mutual goal of heavily reducing the damage to the environment from non-recycled ink and toner cartridges.

What we're doing to save the environment

We have long been aware that the useful end-life of the products we supply is just as important as the life of those products. That is why CartridgesDirect have joined all the manufacturers of original printer cartridges in partnering with Cartridges4Planet Ark and Close The Loop. In doing so, we now create awareness to our customers that you can all play a part in reducing the impact of our products on the environment.

Who are Planet Ark?

Founded in 2003, Cartridges 4 Planet Ark are the collection agency for the ethical recycling of printer cartridges with collection points for cartridges in hundreds of locations, most notably at your local post office. From there, Cartridges 4 Planet Ark collect the empty printer cartridges for ethical recycling. For larger users, those using more than three cartridges a month, Cartridges 4 Planet Ark can supply a collection box for your premises - they really do everything to ensure you recycle!

What can you do to help?

Typically, we leave recycling up to larger organisations. However, this is now readily available for everybody with our free recycling program. Simply purchase genuine ink cartridges from CartridgesDirect and recycle from free. Once you have 8 empty ink cartridges, drop your satchel off free of charge at your nearest Australia Post parcel drop and we will handle the rest. It's as simple as that and leaves absolutely no excuse to throw your empty ink cartridges into landfill. Together, we can make a difference.

environmental impact

How does printer cartridge recycling benefit the earth?

Today, conversations are heavily focussed on recycling. Whilst primary emphasis is placed on recycling packaging, attention should also be turned to the reapplication of materials from cartridge recycling. Printer toners and cartridges are made up of fine plastic particles, carbon and colouring agents. All of which is difficult for mother nature to naturally degrade. With as much as 97% of empty printer cartridges suitable for reycling to create new and innovative products, you can really make a difference.

Through your support, for every 100,000 printer cartridges that are recycled, we can cleanse the earth of the following:

Should you consume 3 or more toner cartridges each month, you can also arrange for a free of charge collection box from Cartridges 4 Planet Ark. From here, in partnership with Close The Loop, your office or community can also partake in saving the planet. From statistics on what your company is collecting to free pickup services, it's really quite simple.
