The Brother DS-640e is a compact, single-sheet document scanner for digitising A4 paperwork, receipts and plastic ID cards from a desk or mobile workspace. A single USB-C connection carries both data and power, so there is no separate power adaptor to pack.

- One-cable setup - USB-C provides both the computer connection and operating power, reducing the accessories needed on the road.

Who Is the Brother DS-640e Best Suited For?
Mobile professionals, field workers, home-office users and small teams that need occasional document capture without the footprint of a desktop scanner.
Planning Your Scanning Workflow
The DS-640e scans one side of one sheet at a time. It does not include an automatic document feeder, automatic duplex scanning, Wi-Fi or a built-in battery. Choose it for portable capture; choose a higher-capacity document scanner when unattended batches or two-sided originals are routine.
Software and Compatibility
Brother lists TWAIN, WIA, ICA and SANE driver support. The Australian product page currently lists supported Windows and macOS versions and includes Power PDF for Windows. Check Brother's current download page before deployment because operating-system support can change over the product life.
Warranty
Brother Australia lists a 1 year return-to-base warranty for this current product. Warranty service is subject to Brother Australia's terms and proof-of-purchase requirements.
