Best All-In-One Printers For Home Use

Traditionally, when it comes to the best all-in-one home printers, printing speeds tend not to be the highest priority. This is simply because there’s less of a printing queue when working from home. However, as we transcend into a work-from-home first world, there has been a growing need for all-in-one home printers with faster printing speeds and higher page yields.

The two models we have shortlisted below have proven themselves to be two of the most cost-effective all-in-one home printers on the market today. As such, they take our crown of the best all-in-one printers for home and home office usage. Scroll down to say hello to your new best friend when working from home.

1. Brother MFC-J5730DW Inkjet Printer

Price: $312.85 (+ Free Shipping)

With an ever-expanding range of colour and monochrome MFC printers, nobody does home office multifunction printers quite like Brother. Amongst the diverse multifunction home and office printer series are some genuine hidden gems. Of which, one of our most favoured all in one home office printers is the Brother MFC-J5730DW.

The first thing you will notice about the J5730DW is quite honestly the size of the printing unit. Measuring 530mm x 398 mm x 374 mm (width, depth, and height respectively), this is a larger than average all-in-one home printer. Although the J5730DW may be a little bulkier in size than other home printers, it can still be considered compact for a printer with two paper trays for a total paper capacity of 600 sheets, as well as the ability to print on A3 and print double-sided documents!

Being a signature Brother MFC printer, the J5730DW is also equipped with an A4 flatbed scanner with an automatic document feeder for easy multi-page scanning jobs. The scanning resolution when using the document feeder 600 x 600 dpi for mono scanning jobs, and 300 x 600 dpi for colour jobs. Printing speeds are around 22 ppm for black and white printing jobs, and 20 ppm for colour.

This all-in-one printer uses Brother LC-3317 cartridges, these having a page yield of around 550 pages for both black and colour. Whilst this isn’t the highest page yield you’ll see in this list, it’s still quite respectable, and positions the MFC-J5730 as a highly suitable printer for home and personal use. In terms of connectivity, the J5730DW has a standard 802.11g/n Wi-Fi specification, as well as Ethernet connectivity for easy home printing. The Brother MFC-J5730DW is also equipped with a 9.3cm colour LCD touch display, and an intuitive navigational menu, making it incredibly easy to switch between this all-in-one printer’s many functions.

It’s these surprising additional advantages alongside already being an MFC model that makes the J5730DW rank at the top of our list of best all-in-one printers, coupled with the fact that this intelligent model will only set you back around $300 too. The Brother MFC-J5730DW is a cheap all-in-one home printer that does not compromise on quality. For this reason, it’s likely to be a favourite of all-in-one printer users for some time to come.

2. Canon Pixma Endurance G7065 Ink Tank Printer

Price: $312.85 (+ Free Shipping)

Canon’s newly released Pixma MegaTanks has been groundbreaking in terms of boosting page yields with their ultra-high yield ink bottles, with page yields of a whopping 18,000 pages in black, and 7,700 pages in colour. The Canon Pixma Endurance G7065 Ink Tank Printer is one of Canon’s most impressive all-in-one MegaTank models to date, with these exact page yields, as well as the ability to print at a resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi, alongside being able to copy and scan using either this printer’s user-friendly button display, the Canon PRINT app, or through PIXMA Cloud Link as well.

Easy functionality, connectivity, and insane page yields aren’t, however, the only selling points of this monolithic all-in-one printer. The G7065 is also equipped with a dual paper feeder for effortless duplex printing so that you can save on your paper usage. If you’re looking to minimise your paper use even further, the model’s flatbed scanner also comes equipped with an automatic document feeder so that whole documents can be scanned and recorded electronically rather than as hard copies.

All in all, this model is quite similar to the Brother MFC-J5730DW, with only three key differences. The printing speeds of the G7065 are lacking in comparison to the J5730DW, as this MegaTank can only deliver black and white printing jobs at a speed of 13 ppm, and colour jobs at a speed of 6.8.

The second key difference is in the size of the MegaTank G7065, which weighs 9.6kg (half the weight of the J5730DW), and measures at 403 mm x 369 mm x 234 mm (width, depth, and height). This machine is significantly lighter than the J5730DW, and about 10cm smaller from all sides, making it better suited to home use than the more heavy-duty J5730DW.

Despite being smaller, the G7065 does come with a higher price tag, costing around $600, a price which is quite honestly justified, considering the ultra-high yield of Canon’s GI60 ink bottles. If you and your family may benefit from an ultra high-yield all-in-one, the G7065 may be the perfect all-in-one home printer for you. If high printing speeds are essential, the J5730DW may be better suited to your printing needs.

Best All-In-One Office Printers

The most prominent selling points of any prospective all-in-one office printer are its retail value, and its printing speeds. Yes, print and copy resolution may also be important in industries that find themselves printing lots of images or diagrams, but in this fast-paced world, it cannot be denied that printing speeds are a specification that’s well worth considering.

The two all-in-one printer models we’ve outlined below do vary in their speeds, but they also haven’t been selected with consideration for this single spec alone.

1. HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 All In One Inkjet Printer

Price: $271.98 (+ Free Shipping)

HP’s OfficeJet series has proven to be a more affordable and versatile printer for businesses and professionals of all backgrounds than their long-standing LaserJets. Of course, whilst all-in-one office printers like the HP LaserJet Enterprise M527z tend to boast some of the most monumental printing speeds with a whopping 43ppm for monochrome printing jobs, they often do so by compromising on print quality.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 truly gives printer users the best of both worlds, with a printing resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi and average printing speeds of 22ppm for monochrome prints, and 18 ppm for colour and at a fraction of the price of other HP office all-in-one printer models.

The OfficeJet Pro 9010 is essentially an all-in-one office printer that can offer a little something to businesses in every industry. A quintessential all-in-one, it can copy, scan, fax, and print on a wide variety of printer paper, including photo and glossy papers. Scanning resolution is respectable at 1200 dpi, but this printer’s ability to scan duplex with an automated document feeder is what really makes it a valuable investment for any small to medium office space that may be handling a large number of paper documents.

The OfficeJet Pro 9010’s copier capabilities must also be highlighted, as not many all-in-one office printers at this price point can reach speeds of 32ppm! Copy speeds are also surprising considering the size of this all-in-one printer, measuring at around 439.3 x 342.5 x 278 mm (w x d x h) with its paper trays pushed in, and weighing only 9.29kg.

Of course, being a newer OfficeJet model, this all-in-one printer is compatible with both HP’s 965 ink cartridges (with an average yield of around 1000 pages in black and 700 pages in colour) and 965XL cartridges (page yields of around 2000 pages in black and 1600 pages in colour), so you can source your ink supply depending on your printing needs.

As the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 only retails for around $300, this model is quite honestly one of the cheapest all-in-one office printers you can find that also comes with full Wi-Fi and app connectivity, which can be infinitely beneficial for small but busy office spaces where printing queues are likely to be lengthy at the worst of times.

The ability to remotely run printer diagnostic tests or keep on top of your ink supply simply through consulting the HP Smart app also makes the OfficeJet Pro 9010 an attractive model for busy business owners looking to make the most of automation in their organisations and sourcing tools that pay for themselves. Rest assured, you’re getting what you pay for and so much more with the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010.

2. Epson EcoTank Pro ET-16600 Printer

Epson’s EcoTank series has truly revolutionised the home printing industry, introducing printers that cost a little extra but give a little more, and have compatibility with ink bottles that maintain their potency even through long periods of disuse over traditional ink cartridges that can cost more than the printer they’re made for, and may dry up in a matter of weeks.

Of course, in the realm of office or industrial printers, there’s toner. For that reason, many believed there was no space for all-in-one EcoTanks in professional settings, and that this innovative printer series would be limited to being used in eco-friendly homes. The release of the EcoTank Pros have well and truly eliminated this belief.

The Epson EcoTank Pro ET-16600 Printer is a mammoth of an all-in-one office printer, and we mean that both with regards to its physical dimensions as well as to its more than satisfactory printing capacity and capabilities. Measuring at 515mm x 500mm x 350mm (w x d x h), and weighing 20.2kg, and boasting printing speeds of 25ppm for monochrome prints and 12ppm for colour, the EcoTank Pro ET-16600 is a genuine titan of industry in itself.

The ET-16600 also doesn’t sacrifice on print quality to deliver these specs, with a fantastic 4800 x 2400 dpi, achieved by utilising Epson’s Variable Sized Droplet Technology for colour precision. The ET-16600 can also print on sizes up to and including A3, and on a variety of media or paper types. Its flatbed scanner can also handle standard A4 documents as well as A3 posters, and boasts a scanning resolution of 1200 x 240o dpi. Staying true to the environmentally-conscious ethos of the EcoTanks, the ET-16600 can also print, copy, scan, and fax in duplex with its automatic document feeder

Of course, being an EcoTank model, it would be remiss of us not to mention the printing capacities of this behemoth all-in-one office printer. The ET-16600 uses Epson’s T542 DURABRite ink bottles, which boast page yields of a whopping 7500 pages in black and 6000 pages for colour print jobs.

The cherry on top, however, is the ET-16600’s Wi-Fi and mobile printing capabilities, with easy wireless printing being made possible through the Epson Connect app as well as through Google Cloud Print and Apple Airprint. The modernity of this all-in-one office printer ensures that operating this model feels a lot less clunky than handling a larger industrial laser printer.

Best All-In-One Student Printers

Although we have already rounded up our best printers for students here at CartridgesDirect, it’s worth noting that not all the models in this previous list are all-in-one printers, simply because many students don’t necessarily need the additional functions that AIO printers can boast.

Of course, if you’re studying art or design and finding yourself printing in colour a fair bit, or even printing photos every now and again, the two all-in-one printers laid out below may be just what you need to see to all your printing needs even on a limited budget.

1. HP Envy 6020 All In One Inkjet Printer

Price: $101.64 (+ Free Shipping)

HP has created a bit of a name for themselves in the realm of compact desk printers. Their DeskJet series, for instance, are some of the most compact printers available on the market today. Whilst the smaller size of these printer models can be beneficial for anybody living on campus or in shared housing, there are other features that are excluded from these models, features that could be considered essential for students.

For instance, HP’s Deskjet 2623 is a compact all-in-one printer that lacks an automatic document feeder. It’s smaller build also greatly complicates manual double-sided printing. Duplex printing is a printing feature that’s widely utilised by teachers and students, so any model that lacks an ADF should realistically not be classified as a student printer.

The HP Envy 6020 All In One Inkjet Printer boasts all that HP’s affordable Deskjets have to offer alongside faster printing speeds (10ppm black; 7ppm colour), automatic double-sided printing, and a retail value of only around $100, making this model the most affordable all-in-one printer in this list. Print quality for the Envy 6020 is also 4800 x 1200 dpi for colour printing, and scanning resolution is stock standard at 1200 dpi, which is superb given the price of this compact all-in-one printer model.

The Envy 6020 also uses HP 67 ink cartridges (page yield of ~120 for black, and ~100 for colour prints) and 67XL cartridges (page yield of ~240 black and ~200 for colour prints), which can be sourced in bulk packs and at competitive price points. The 67 cartridges are also compatible with a range of other compact HP printers, so ink availability is likely to be high for the foreseeable future.

Weighing only 5.22kg and measuring 432.5 x 361.1 x 132.1 mm (w x d x h), the Envy 6020 is highly versatile in its design also likely to meld in with any environment, allowing printer users to maximise their desk or home office space. With full Wi-Fi connectivity and HP Smart app compatibility, the HP Envy 6020 is simply elegant in every sense of the word, and is perhaps one of the most intuitive and affordable student printers we stock here at Cartridges Direct.

2. Canon Pixma TS6360 Printer

Price: $151.80 (+ Free Shipping)

The Canon Pixma TS6360 Printer is an all-in-one printer that’s garnered itself a reputation for being a jack of all trades, bearing the ability to print (photos and documents), copy, and scan with ease either through interacting with the printer’s 1.44” OLED display, via network connection, or through Canon’s PRINT app. With printing speeds of 15ppm for monochrome printing and 10ppm for colour, and a printing resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi, the TS6360 is an ideal choice for students and teachers alike.

The icing on the cake is the TS6360’s automatic document feeder which doubles up as a dual paper feeder, essentially allowing for both easy double-sided printing as well as the ability for printer users to adapt their printing habits based on how they’d like their printer to be physically set up in their home or office space.

The TS6360 can also be classified as a smaller all-in-one printer, measuring at 376 x 359 x 141 mm (w x d x h), and weighing only 6.3kg, making it just a touch larger than HP’s petite Envy 6020. In fact, the TS6360 is quite comparable to HP’s Envy 6020, bearing similar specs, with just one minor difference: the variability of the TS6360’s printing capacities.

The TS6360 is compatible with a great variety of ink replacement cartridges, including the 680/XL/XXL and 681/XL/XXL ink cartridges. Printer users will be spoilt for choice when it comes to sourcing ink, but more importantly, they can purchase replacement cartridges depending largely on their printer use over any other factors.

Best All-In-One Monochrome Printers

Last but not least, all-in-one printers don’t need to print in both colour and monochrome to be classified as ‘all-in-ones’. In fact, there’s a growing demand for monochrome all-in-one printers, as business owners look for ways to take full advantage of automation and multifunctionality in their office spaces.

1. Brother MFC-L2750DW Mono Laser Printer

Price: $286.89 (+ Free Shipping)

Office and industrial laser printers can be costly to operate, especially for companies who print infrequently or at the very least, print consistently in bulk or at specific periods rather than throughout the work week. If you’re a business owner who’s looking for a monochrome laser printer that doesn’t come with a premium price tag, the Brother MFC-L2750DW Mono Multifunction Laser Printer may be just the printing solution for you.

With the ability to print, copy, scan, and fax, as well as being equipped with full wireless connectivity, the L2750DW is a fantastic all-in-one mono printer for both home and office spaces. Printing speeds for this model are also around 34ppm, with a standard printing and scanning resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi, making the L2750DW perfectly suited to home or office spaces with medium to high monochromatic document printing needs.

The L2750DW is also significantly smaller in size compared to other all-in-one monochrome laser printers, measuring at 410 mm x 398.5 mm x 318.5 mm (w x d x h) and weighing only 12.2kg. It’s also fairly quiet when compared to other monochrome laser printers, with an average noise level of around 49db.

The Brother MFC-L2750DW is compatible with Brother’s TN-2430 and TN-2450 toner cartridges, which have page yields of 1200 and 3000 pages respectively.

2. Epson EcoTank ET-M2170 Printer

Price: $374.78 (+ Free Shipping)

The final all-in-one printer on this list and the second EcoTank, Epson’s EcoTank ET-M2170 possesses all the features of traditional monochrome laser printers, whilst still being a signature inkjet that uses Epson’s 532 replacement ink bottles.

The ET-M2170 has an incredible printing capacity, with an average page yield of around 6000 pages and both printing and scanning boasting a resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi. Printing speeds are also respectable at 20ppm, as are copying speeds at around 17ppm. Whilst these speeds may not hold a candle to those of the Brother MFC-L2750DW, you’re definitely getting more value right out of the box with the ET-M2170 just on its ink alone.

Alongside this, the ET-M2170 is also half the weight of the L2750DW, weighing only 6.2kg and measuring 375mm x 347mm x 302mm (w x d x h). This is truly a signature Epson EcoTank both in its printing capabilities, size, and overall presentation.

With Wi-Fi connectivity, mobile printing, and easy onboard navigation with the addition of this model’s 1.44” LCD display, the ET-M2170 is an all-in-one monochrome printer that will likely feel right at home in a great array of office spaces.
